Magi

Three mysterious men from the East followed a moving  'star' that had never been sighted before. It signified a rare and special event. It 'told' them that a very special soul had been birthed in human form on Earth, so they trekked out through the desert land to behold this ethereal individual and to offer honorary gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.

Through different texts, they've been called kings, prophets, astrologers, magicians and/or 'Wise Men' . These gifts that they bestowed on the Blessed infant became known as the gifts of the "Magi".
